General Points on Brembo

Brembo doesn't make Caliper covers. CALIPER covers are fake and cause harm to CALIPER by reducing cooling efficiency to brake CALIPERs.
Genuine Brembo CALIPERs cost upwards of 3-6 lakh rupees for each Axel and is Recommended Generally for 300 hp and above cars. Brembo doesn't make CALIPER for our normal Indian cars and it’s not required also. As long as Brembo pads and disc are used it would give sufficient performance at best price.
Brembo gives Authenticity card only with the "Big brake kit" which costs 3 to 6 lakh rupees. Not for OE replacement brake pads and disc. Please don't confuse yourself by going to Brembo.com and asking the same question.
The website for Brembo OE replacement or aftermarket products is bremboparts.com which is a part of Brembo.com, Please don’t confuse yourself with Racing division or high performance products with Aftermarket Replacement products.
Every Brembo brake pads has QR code which can be scanned maximum of 3 times for Originality.
There are 3 types of Brembo brake pads, Brembo low metallic European standard pads, Brembo Ceramic American standard pads and Brembo Xtra which is performance pads and covers limited part numbers only.
Please don't confuse "ceramic pads" with "Carbon ceramic pads" used in Formula One and Supercars. The Carbon Ceramic pads are used with Carbon Ceramic disc and cost in range of 10 to 20 lakh Rupees. The Brembo aftermarket ceramic pads is a special formulae pads for low dust to meet the American braking standards.
The earlier Red shim pads were Semi metallic formulae and now replaced by Ceramic pads using same Red shim behind the pads.
We recommend the Low metallic pads for those who want better Brake pedal feel and higher stopping power Compared to Ceramic red shim pads. Ceramic pads are excellent for light weight Asian cars.
Currently Brembo has no application for Mahindra or Tata cars in India.
All Brembo products are imported for four wheelers and not made in India. The plants shown in google for India are for two wheeler application in Pune and Chennai.
The performance of slotted and drilled disc is same. If anyone of them available please opt for them, Instead of asking for opposite to what is available.
Please don't ask what Colors the pads are available in. It’s not an accessory for looks And once fitted in Caliper brake pads are not visible.

General points on Brake issues

Brake noise at low speed after installation of pads and disc is some times normal. It doesn't affect the stopping power. And free replacement won't be given against the same. It's sometimes psychological many people don't realize there is a part called brake pads or disc in their car but after brake change their whole mind starts focusing on such part and become overly conscious of the same. It's a fact.
There is no guarantee or warranty on brake pads and disc life. Since it's a Wear and Tear item Just like engine oil. And no one can exactly replicate same driving condition for comparison.
If the car is tuned beyond stock power. It would be suggested to go for Performance pads and disc or even upgrade the CALIPER. Don't expect magical difference with change of pads and disc on stock CALIPER which is not meant for Performance use.
There are some external factors also affect braking such as Condition of tyre's/ Brake disc /Condition of CALIPER pins and pistons/condition of brake line's and proper brake bleeding whether was done or not after change of brake pads finally the Condition of Suspension.
As a rule of thumb each set of disc should last 2 pad change if pads are changed at correct interval before causing damage to the disc.
It's advisable to follow proper brake bedding in procedure after brake pad and disc installation. Many people immediately drive at high speed after fitment in order to test them out. Causing brakes to become glazed.
Brake glazing is a phenomenon where brake disc becomes mirror like smooth finish causing brake slip to happen. But after carefully driving glazing can be reversed. It's not permanent damage to the disc.
Generally if Brake pedal vibrates Rear brake disc is weak. And if steering vibrates on braking front disc is weak.
No authorized Service Center is going to support aftermarket brake products. So it's up to the customer to choose what they want. Don't buy then blame that authorized service Center claimed the product supplied is fake. Which is obviously what they would say.
Our Indian road conditions are bad and there are many cases where brake disc may get bent (Example doing 80 kph when unexpected bump or speed breaker comes the cars catch some air after hitting them while the drive holds the brakes at full force during midair) such action would cause brake disc to bend. And we can’t monitor everyone's driving.
It's important that Chassis number is provided for all European cars American cars. And Car pics front and back for Indian cars to identify correct brake part number.
Sometime customer may locate their own part number from website or google. But may be different from what Dealer suggest please understand it may be same dimension but at lesser cost for benefit to customer and maybe Superseded or preceded part number. Trust the Dealer who is expert in his field. It's not a question of smartness.
Brake disc and brake pads need not be same brand. They can be mix of combination. Don't think cars from factory come with same brand and brake disc. As most of the car company outsource brake disc and brake pads and they are mostly 2 different vendors. Just because they come in OE packing inside the authorized service Center doesn't mean it's made by the specific car company.
The shipping for brake disc and pads is separate cost and they are heavy specially brake disc please don't underestimate their weight.
Every car has different brake pads in front and rear and different brake disc they are all different part numbers. With rule of thumb the bigger disc and pads being for front and smaller ones for rear.
Avoid pouring water over the braking system while washing the car as much as possible.
As a request don't Blindly believe everything what is written on internet forums. There is correct and false information. This not only Applies for brake's but for everything.
